Bifab selected as part of BOWL supply chain

HIE welcomes the news that BiFab have been awarded a contract to supply WTG jacket substructures for the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm project.

HIE welcomes the news that BiFab have been awarded a contract to supply WTG jacket substructures for the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm Ltd (BOWL) project.

HIE has provided significant investment in the Arnish facility to make sure the latest upgrades are suitable for the growing marine renewables sector.

Charlotte Wright, director of Business & Sector Development, said: “This further demonstrates the region’s capability to support the offshore wind sector and the BOWL project specifically. BiFab, with its skilled workforce at Arnish, is in an excellent position to deliver part of this major contract and today’s announcement will be welcomed in the Outer Hebrides, positioning it as key player in the offshore wind supply chain.”
