Call centre brings 50 new jobs to Dingwall

A call centre company is to create 50 new jobs in Dingwall over the next 18 months.

NSL, an outsource service provider marks its successful first year of its Business Processing Centre at the Dingwall Business Park.

HIE has supported the company with £675,000 towards setting up the centre and the expansion project.

Since the firm opened last November with an initial 100 staff, the centre has processed more than 360,000 items of correspondence, applications and web/email inquiries and answered 240,000 calls over the last 12 months.

The centre now employs 120 people and NSL specialises in the delivery and management of services for local, regional and central government as well as with the airport and the private sector.

It has had contracts for government agencies such as The Royal Parks, DVLA, Transport for London and Transport Northern Ireland.

Rhona Fraser, HIE’s head of regional development, said: "We are delighted that NSL is looking to continue to expand their services and workforce from the company’s Dingwall centre.

"We are aware that they had alternative options for locating the centre and we are obviously pleased that Dingwall was chosen.

"We are looking forward to continuing to work with the company to ensure it achieves its growth ambitions."

Kathleen Lohse, NSL’s client account manager for Dingwall, said: "We have already made substantial investments in staff, training, IT and facilities and more is planned over the next three years.

"This is in order to secure new national and international business, broaden the client base and develop specialisms within the workforce here at Dingwall."
