New managers in Moray

HIE has appointed a new area manager and new head of business growth to its Moray team.

Donna Chisholm, originally from Caithness and now living in Inverness, replaces David Oxley as area manager following his appointment as HIE’s director of business and sector development.

Donna joined HIE in 2007 from a previous role as capital project manager, leading the redevelopment of Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. For the past seven years she has been leading HIE’s work on industry sectors, business innovation and entrepreneurship.

Moving into her Moray role, Donna said:

“I am truly excited to be taking up the role in Moray. The area is home to some of the world’s leading food and drink brands. It has a track record in military aerospace, a growing life sciences sector and an increasingly important role in energy, particularly offshore wind. Tourism and technology are vibrant and there are some great examples of social enterprises; something that is increasingly important to the rural economy.

“I look forward to working with the Moray team and drawing on my recent years’ experience in building industry sectors, and with entrepreneurs, to make a positive contribution to the strength of the Moray economy and its communities.”

Susan Addison is the new head of business growth in HIE’s Moray team, following the retirement of Alison Kearney. Susan joined HIE in 2012 following 25 years as commercial banking manager with the Bank of Scotland. Originally from Dingwall and now living in Nairn, Susan moves to the Moray team after five years in HIE’s Inner Moray Firth team.
